Walkaround

Get details about creating and modifying walkarounds.

Create Walkaround: If you have Walkaround Package on your account, you will be able to create walkarounds. To create a walkaround, click Add New from top menu bar on your panel. Once you are on "Add New" page, select "Walkaround" from the dropdown list where it says "Select One". You will be given 3 fields where you can put VIN, Model and Stock number. You can use our VIN decoder - write down the car's VIN number and click decode. It may take 1/2 seconds to decode the vin and populate the "Year, Make and Model" field with the decoded VIN automatically. Enter the stock number and click "Add new walkaround".

Taking Pictures: Once you click "Add New Walkaround", the system will take you to Walkaround Editor. Walkaround Editor shows you 8 different angles, where you can click on each angle and take that specific angle's picture or if you already have taken that angle's picture before, you can select the picture from your device. Please go to section Taking Pictures to learn more on taking pictures. Once you've taken/selected the picture, the system will show you cropper tool.

How to Crop: Once you've chosen/taken a picture, our system will show you the cropper tool. Cropper tool looks similar to the picture below. Cropper tool has picture, cropping area and two buttons. To cancel the cropper tool, click cancel button or click anywhere outside of crop window. If you've taken the picture correctly, the cropper tool will show you guide for each angle after you've chosen/taken a picture.
There are 2 ways to crop a picture perfectly.

Once you've perfectly alligned the guidelines with your picture, click the crop button. You will see your cropped picture showing on the page on that exact angle. Note: This doesn't save the picture on our server. Scroll down to learn how to save the picture on our server.
Picture below has references of each area mentioned earlier.

How to save the walkaround: Once you've taken/chosen 8 different angle pictures, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click the Upload button. The system will immedietly start uploading the pictures. It may take 1/2 seconds based on your internet speed. Once the upload is completed, it will show you a green container which says "You've already uploaded 8 pictures for this 360 walkaround. You can still modify any angle you want.". If the system shows red container saying you've uploaded less than 8 pictures, it means something went wrong and you should take the pictures again and make sure you've taken all 8 angles this time. If you've missed an angle before and know which angle you've missed, you can just take picture of that specific angle and scroll to the bottom of the page and click upload.
Accessing Walkaround: Your walkaround should be ready once all 8 angles are uploaded. You will see "View Walkaround" link on the walkaround editor. Alternatively, you can access the walkaround from your panel. Click the pciture on the left side of the Walkaround Model and the system will show you the walkaround.

Upload Interior Pictures: If you have inventory package on your account and if we don't edit the pictures for you, you will be able to upload the interior pictures and link the interior pictures with the walkaround automatically. Click "Upload Interior" to start uploading interior pictures. Learn more on how to upload interior pictures.

Taking Pictures

Get details on taking the perfect picture.

Methods: You can add pictures to walkaround or inventory items in different ways. If you are using computer, you can choose a picture file from your computer. If you are using any phone or tablet device, you will be given few options when you want to select picture to upload. First option is always "Take Photo". Other options can be "Choose from gallery", "Choose from iCloud" or "Choose from Google Drive".
Rotate Device: Once you click "Take Photo" option, your camera will open and you can take the picture. Rotate your device just like the picture below before adjusting your distance from the car. You do not need to turn off orientation lock.

Distance from Car: Once you've rotated your device, walk away from to car to enough distance. If you have around 1 inch gap from the display edge to the car on your camera(right and left side), this usually means you've reached enough distance. Also our study suggests 5-7 steps away from the car is ideal distance. Picture below is a good example of understanding perfect distance from the car.

Capture: Once you are at enough distance from the car, align your device properly with the car. Look at the reference picture below to learn how to align your device properly. When you are at enough distance, your device is aligned properly, take the picture. For best result, we suggest squat position while taking the picture. If your picture looks good, click "Use Photo" or "Select Photo". If it doesn't look good, click "Retake" and take the picture again. After you've clicked "Use Photo", the camera will close and you will be back to our system and given the next choices, like cropping, based on the circumstances.

Embed

How to use the walkaround or inventory item on your website.

Walkaround: On the walkaround viewer page, you will be provided with Javascript code which you can copy and paste in the description area of the inventory item on your website. If your website has cache enabled, clear the cache to view the updated inventory on your website. If your website is made using Trader.ca, it may take up to 1 hour to appear on your website's inventory item. The embed code replaces the original photo viewer area of your website with our walkaround viewer. If you have inventory item of the same VIN number, the walkaround will be automatically linked to the interior pictures. Using only walkaround embed code on your website will do the work.
Inventory Item: If we edit your pictures, you will be able to download the pictures as a zip file on your device. Download the zip file, extract the pictures in a folder and upload them on your website. Alternatively, if you don't want to download the pictures from our website and reupload them on your website, you can use the embed to show the pictures as a gallery on your website. To do that, on the inventory viewer page, you will be provided with Javascript code which you can copy and paste in the description area of the inventory item on your website. If your website has cache enabled, clear the cache to view the updated inventory on your website. If your website is made using Trader.ca, it may take up to 1 hour to appear on your website's inventory item. The embed code replaces the original photo viewer area of your website with our inventory viewer. If you have walkaround of the same VIN number, the walkaround will be automatically linked to the interior pictures. Using only walkaround embed code on your website will do the work.
Embed Settings: If our code isn't working on your website, most probably because your website's photo viewer container wasn't mentioned properly in the code we've provided. In that case, you can call us to update your website's container identifier on our website. Or if you can identify the class or ID of the photo viewer container on your website, go to Account on Wizpi360, click "Embed Settings", fill up the class or ID and click update. You will be given a second field to put identifier in case if your website has a different identifier for mobile devices. Leave the second field empty if your website doesn't have a different identifier for phone. Note: If your photo viewer identifier is a class, use "." before the identifier name(e.g. .photo-viewer). If your photo viewer identifier is a ID, use "#" before the identifier(e.g. #photo-viewer).
